On the Virtues of the 1911

Tonight I am going to pontificate about my very favorite firearm of all time, the Automatic Pistol, .45 Caliber M1911. As the 100th anniversary of this fine weapon’s adoption by the United States Army fast approaches, I was thinking of an article along these lines. However, after reading a particularly derogatory article entitled “The 1911 Sucks,” I felt the urge to publish a bit early.
